First, let me tell you about our story. Getting here wasn’t easy, but I’m proud of how we did it—it took a lot of hard work, support from the massage and wellness community, and a little bit of fate.
In 2009, I started a bootcamp that grew into a business with multiple locations across North America. As the business grew, I was overwhelmed with increasing fees from my business management software: Mindbody. I knew there had to be a better solution.
By luck, I ran into my childhood friend, Sasha Davids (now co-founder and COO of WellnessLiving), while on vacation in Jamaica. We spent the whole week catching up and I shared the challenges I was facing with my customer relationship management (CRM) and scheduling software and knew I wasn’t alone.
Together, Sasha and I set out to create an affordable, easy-to-use, and customizable system with massage studio owners in mind. After all, everything we do is because of our customers, and it’s our goal to make life easier for them. We’ve streamlined the process, making it simple for clients and staff to book appointments.

One of those customers is Andres Gutierrez, owner of JP’s Massage Therapy Center in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Andres sat down with us and shared his experience using the WellnessLiving software.
When we spoke to Andres, he opened up to us about his fears of switching to a new software. First, he was concerned about migrating over all their client data. After all, JP’s Massage Therapy Center has hundreds of clients and that’s a lot of data, including appointment records, credit card details, auto payments, and billing info. Fortunately, that fear was put to rest, as our experienced Onboarding Team migrated his entire business within weeks.
Andres was also concerned about how clients would react to the new system. However, his clients loved the software, especially since there’s a loyalty rewards program—a feature that hadn’t been included in his previous platform. The loyalty program allows his clients to earn points by referring a friend, booking an appointment, leaving a review, and more. They can then redeem points for a discount or a free massage.
Our communication tools are perhaps Andres’s favorite part of the software. First, he uses our advanced reporting tool to track important client data, including appointment records. With our automated marketing tool, Andres then creates custom SMS offers and targets clients who haven’t visited his massage studio for a few months. This system works like a charm, filling up weekend appointment slots within a day!
