Robin is from upstate New York and has been an avid musician her
whole life. She is a woodwind specialist and has sung in choirs for
years in both church and school.
She has known since she was 8 years old that she wanted to teach music, and has two collegiate degrees; a Bachelor of Music in education from Houghton College, and a Master of Music in bassoon performance from Binghamton University.
After college, Robin spent many years teaching and subbing in the public schools in her hometown, along with performing with the Southern Tier Concert Band. Since moving to North Carolina in 2012, she has become the principal bassoonist for the Triangle Wind Ensemble. She has also played with the Raleigh Symphony, the Durham Savoyards, and is regularly asked to play with Apex Methodist Church for their cantatas each season. In addition to brass and woodwinds, she teaches violin, piano, ukulele and vocals.
