Mrs. Zhao is a classical violinist who just got her Bachelor degree on violin performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She started to learn the violin when she was five years old. Before college, she was selected to the ILMEA all state orchestra competition from 2016 to 2018. In the same years, she was also a violinist at the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. During the time she’s pursuing her violin performance degree at UIUC, she was the winner of the Paul Rolland Violin Competition in 2018. Four years later, in 2022, she was the winner of the Thomas J. Smith Competition. 

 

Mrs. Zhao’s philosophy along the path of teaching experience is to be patient and carefully discover the fundamental need for each student. In addition, to encourage the passion of each individual who’s interested in music. Mrs. Zhao believes that music is a beautiful language that connects people together to express one’s feelings more precisely without the use of words.
