Nathan is a senior at the University of Illinois studying Choral Music Education, and has
lived in the Champaign area his entire life. Throughout his childhood, he has always taken every music opportunity
available, including piano and voice lessons. Nathan has also
always been active in choir and band throughout his life, also playing the trombone and
euphonium! Nathan looks forward to working with and getting to know his new students at the
Champaign School of Music!

Nathan believes that music is for everyone. Music is such a vital component of
everyday life, and we all make music in various shapes or forms. His goal as a teacher is to
meet students wherever they are in their music journey and do what he can to help them 
keep propelling forward in their appreciation for music and passion for creating it. He also strives to
ensure that the music being taught is relevant to his students’ lives. His goal isn’t
that students become perfect musicians (I still haven’t reached that level myself), but instead that
they have learned and grown in their studies and continue to love music after working
with me.
