Vickie

Vickie was an RMC parent before taking on the role of front desk
scheduling. A lifelong music lover, Vickie was introduced to the
flute in 4th grade followed soon after by the piccolo and oboe. She
participated in many band ensembles throughout high school and in
her early college years. She often performed in hospitals and
long-term care facilities to bring music to the patients and
residents who were unable to travel to hear live concerts. Vickie
loves helping others, and formerly worked in long-term health
administration and was a certified Long-term care Ombudsman for the
county of San Diego. She currently volunteers as a cadette and
senior level Girl Scout leader and with Grants Wishes, a charity
that fulfills wishes for children facing their second battle with
cancer and other long-term illnesses.
Vickie paused her former career in health care to raise her
family and continued to share her love of music with her three
children as they grew. Her children have all played wind
instruments and her youngest daughter enjoys RMC’s Uke Jam class
and participating in RMC’s Student Leadership Team (lovingly
referred to as the Band Aids). Vickie loves being around music each
day and seeing firsthand how much joy music brings to RMC’s
students and friends. She is thrilled to have found a second career
with RMC.
