Jacob Brunsman
Jacob began playing drums at the age of 13 after being inspired
by bands such as KISS, Motley Crue, AC/DC, and Aerosmith.
After studying drums throughout high school, he decided to pursue
an education in percussion from Ball State University in Muncie,
Indiana. While studying with Dr. Erwin Mueller, Jacob was
also actively teaching percussion at local high schools in the
Central Indiana area.
After a few years, he paused his education to serve in the U.S.
Marine Corps and play in the band. During his time in the
Marine Band program, Jacob was involved in over 350 performances to
a combined live and broadcast audience of over 146 million
people. His last assignment was with the Third Marine
Aircraft Wing Band in San Diego, California.
Jacob brings the experience of learning, teaching, and
performing professionally as well as a genuine love for drumming
and music into each lesson. He firmly believes that every
human being is a musician (even if not serious or professional)
that communicates rhythmically and fosters an environment where
every student has the ability to recognize this within
themselves.
