Sheila Carabine is a Juno-nominated and Canadian Folk Music
Award winning singer-songwriter, best known for her work in the
duos Dala and Kennedy Road. Sheila has performed
on stages and at festivals across North America, and has toured
with artists such as Tom Cochrane, Chantal Kreviazuk, Jann Arden
and Stuart McLean and the Vinyl Café. Sheila's original song
“Horses” was selected by NPR as one of the “Top Ten Folk Songs of
2009.” “I started taking piano lessons at 8 years old, with a
wonderful neighbour two doors down. A few years later I joined my
high school band, and then eventually I started writing and singing
music of my own. I am so grateful to my teachers for the
encouragement and kindness they showed me in those early years. I
hope to help my students at Kitchen Music Studios discover and
develop their own lifelong love of music, and to have lots of fun
in the process!”
