Jillian first discovered Pilates in high school through her ongoing commitment to dance. However, she truly fell in love with the practice while taking a Pilates class as part of her dance conservatory program at Point Park College in Pittsburgh. She has used Pilates to help maintain strength, flexibility and balance within her own body.Jillian has been a practicing Pilates teacher for 18 years. She received her training and certification through Groundfloor Pilates, under the guidance of Fran Lehan, a student of Carola Trier. She has worked at Broadway Pilates, Pilates House, Erin DeLucia- Benson Pilates and Holistic Health, Luminous Body, and Six Degrees Pilates.Jillian has been a professional dancer and performer in New York City since 2002. She has been a member of Heidi Latsky Dance for 20 years and is the company's rehearsal director. Jillian loves Pilates because it has helped her manage pain and perform through injuries. Jillian practiced pre and post-natal pilates through her first pregnancy in 2020, which helped her to feel strong and confident in her body during and after pregnancy.
What is she like as a teacher? My style of teaching is focused and fun. I love to work hard and help my clients do the same to get the most out of their experience.
