I absolutely love going to All Wellness. I have been going there on a weekly basis for about 4 years. If you are differently- abled, this is THE place for you! The private Pilates sessions work best for me and I worked with Arica, Lissy and Monet. Each of these lovely humans brings their own personal style and vibe and it is amazingly infectious! Remember, the philosophy at All Wellness is “Pilates is for EVERY body!”
Lucy has been practicing physical therapy for over 15 years. She has a unique approach to treating physical recovery, pain and injury through her healing integration of yoga and traditional therapy techniques. Lucy empowers her patients and with guidance, compassion and knowledge allows them to listen to their bodies and move towards a path of healing. Understanding our body as an instrument of movement and life, acknowledging its limitations and abilities, we can tap into our innate ability and power to heal. She admires and is amazed at the design and intelligence of the human body, yet she also respects its fragility and impermanence.
Lucy received a BS/MS in physical therapy from Long Island University and a BA in dance and romance languages from Sarah Lawrence College. In her native New York City, following her career as a dancer, she pursued her physical therapy degree and worked in early intervention and the in the public school system with children of varying ages. She continued her practice in acute therapy at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, both in the neonatal intensive care unit and the cardiac unit. After moving to Vermont, Lucy continued her practice and training in outpatient physical therapy and became a certified yoga teacher. She has worked with the geriatric population for the last 3 years. She has practiced in a “lifespan” of settings, treating individuals from 0 to 103 years old - they continue to be her move valued teachers.
