I have been a regular at Pilates for a few months. I had consistent back and neck pain from years of office work. My love for yoga began 17 years ago. At the time I was really
into Bikram Yoga, and did yoga purely
as a form of exercise. Over the years I have realised that yoga has so much more to offer than just
the physical support. For me it has increased my awareness of my body, it helps me maintain a sense
of calm and balance in the midst of chaos, it supports me to operate from a more mindful place, and
keeps my back and neck issues at bay.
I’ve been teaching yoga for over 5 years now and my classes offer students the space to connect to a
deeper place within through re-connecting to their breath more fully. This helps to quieten their
mind, calm their nervous system and support their practise to be a more mindful one, which creates
a deeper stretch and release.
