I visited my daughter-in-law in Colorado Springs and we decided to give Allison Roebker’s Whole Living Pilates a try. We selected her studio because Allison’s website ticked all the boxes. 1. Classical equipment 2. Classical teaching 3. Classes and private training My daughter in law has never done Pilates so we tried the All Levels Reformer class. She is an athlete and she and my son have climbed seven fourteeners in the past few months so she’s looking to cross train and needs a workout that will complement her mountain climbing hobby. Allison has a great way of breaking down the exercises so that even newbies to Pilates can enjoy the work and she manages this while keeping the class flowing. I loved how she made corrections but managed to keep the class moving. She also integrated teaching the students independence in the work by having them change their own springs, place the box on and off the reformer and then wipe down their own equipment. She has 5 reformer with towers, wunda chairs, spine correctors and a high chair. Her studio is very clean, she has a separate room for private training at least that’s what I think it’s for. I know I have a Pilates studio to workout at when I visit Colorado again. I highly recommend Allison and her studio to anyone looking for classical Pilates classes and based on her teaching style I imagine she is a spectacular teacher.
