I’ve been attending classes since 2019 and couldn’t be happier! I had practiced Pilates for many years prior and can honestly say I learn something new each class at SL2. This is a studio where you can feel comfortable coming with your “whole self” and the instructor will meet you at your level. I first discovered Pilates in 2015 when I was working as a Personal Trainer at a fitness center. I have been active my entire adult life, but I had never encountered a movement system quite like Pilates – I was hooked from my first class and knew that I wanted to become a certified instructor so I could share this amazing movement system with others. Injuries often occur when our large and small muscle groups get out of balance. We work our large muscle groups on a daily basis through walking, running, cycling, etc., but the smaller muscle groups are often neglected. Pilates focuses on the smaller muscle groups which helps keep our muscles in balance and our bodies injury free. I enjoy watching my clients become stronger and more confident with every class they attend. I like to challenge everyone to move outside their comfort zone to see what they can do. I love that Pilates has something to offer everyone, from the fitness newbie to the seasoned athlete, every Pilates exercise can be adjusted to accommodate each person’s fitness level. We need to move to keep our body and mind healthy and I love getting people to move and focus on their health.
