My body is stronger, my energy level is higher, and my general outlook is significantly better. I particularly enjoy the people (other members and the staff). It makes each class feel like a fun healthy get together with friends. The staff is extremely well trained which I appreciate, and the small class format means that their eyes are on you ensuring you are doing the moves correctly.
Myola was introduced to pilates while attending York University as a dance major. After graduating with a BA in Dance, she moved to BC and began practicing pilates with increased focus and interest, making it her goal to become a pilates instructor. She completed the Stott Mat and Reformer training and gained experience as a pilates instructor for a few years before deciding to complete her training on all of the equipment, eventually becoming a fully certified Stott Pilates instructor. She has experienced firsthand how amazing pilates is, both personally and as an instructor, and has witnessed how - with the right instructor and commitment from the client - huge shifts can occur.
Still having a love and passion for dance and movement, Myola has choreographed and performed in several shows and festivals, and has trained in contemporary dance, contact improv, ballet and contact body juggling. She has attended workshops in various movement styles including the Eric Franklin Method, Mind Body Centering, Laban Movement Fundamentals, Feldenchrist, Itchush and Countertechnique. She has two daughters who inspire her movement practice on a daily basis, and is thrilled to be joining the Momentum Pilates team!
