A fourth generation Northern Nevadan, Dallyn acquired her Pilates accreditation through Beth Shrum’s comprehensive Integrated Pilates certification program. Dallyn started dancing at the age of four at Dance Workshop which lead to sparking her interest in Pilates. She has many influences such as horse dentistry and chiropractic work with Canuck Ranch, studying languages, and taking any chance to roam off the trails in the Sierras. She’s a proud Basque and part of the Mendiko Euskaldun Club where she performs classic Basque dances. Dallyn thought her path was in the medical industry, she worked in the Emergency Room and ICU as a Certified Nursing Assistant but was more intrigued by the holistic, sustainable types of healing and therapy, which led her to Beth’s program and the therapeutic approach to Pilates. The year-long Pilates program was challenging, led by Beth’s depth of knowledge and attention to detail, but it was exactly what Dallyn was looking for since it involved thoroughly understanding what makes the body move well and how to help others achieve the satisfaction that Pilates brings. Another passion of Dallyn’s is yoga and everything that comes with it. This dual exposure of a yogic attitude combined with having worked in a hospital has given her experience to two different types of anatomy and treatments. All in all, her life, work, and hobbies have given her a dynamic and thoughtful perspective on how the body moves.
