EHS Pilates

From a very young age, Amy was always moving. She started on the trampoline at the age of three, became a gymnast, dancer, and equestrian. After moving to San Francisco, she found the Circus School and fell in love with the static trapeze, but her dreams of joining the circus were cut short after a car accident in 2002. Happily, however, she was introduced to Pilates which helped her heal and provided not only the strengthening and stretching that are essential to rehabilitation but also a greater connection between the mind and the body.In 2014, Amy decided to turn her passion for Pilates into a career and has been teaching full-time since then. She is fully certified with Balanced Body University (BBU) and has also trained on Stott. In addition, she is a fully certified member and trainer of the Buff Bones® Pilates community. She has also worked with additional instructors specializing in prenatal, postnatal, and rehabilitation. Amy was always amazed and astounded by the human body, its abilities, its muscle memory, its innate protectiveness. Since she began her training, her interest has only grown. In her classes and private sessions, Amy strives to bring the magic of movement together with the human experience. She reminds us to move, and to have fun with it! Pilates is about you and your body and its ability to rehabilitate itself whatever age you're at, whatever injuries you've had, whatever you've been through, and whatever life has thrown at you.In her spare time, away from all things Pilates, she can usually be found baking in the kitchen, out exploring, or, on a rainy day, curled up with a good book.
