Healthy Bones-Pilates for Active Aging class is a Pilates workout that uses bone-strengthening techniques while focusing on alignment and balance, gait (walking) improvement, and working towards a stronger active daily lifestyle. The workout targets the glutes (tush), hips, arms and back, legs and feet, while giving the whole body a terrific workout. The importance of weight-bearing exercise that loads and strengthens bones (which cannot be underestimated) as well as focusing on the abdominals, all without using “crunches,” – is a strong focus in our class.
