Do you have a persistent “knot” or “sticky spot” no matter how you stretch or train, but the foam roller mystifies you? No more halfhearted roll-outs. This workshop will help build bodily awareness and leave you with a modular set of techniques for effective myofascial release.
Alicia and Joe blend their backgrounds of yoga instruction, martial arts, personal training, and dance to bring you:
· a holistic understanding of the connective tissue system
· why we form and feel adhesions in the muscles
· how to use specialized tools to move with less pain and optimize the results of your exercise plan
Coach Joe will share tips for using the foam roller to efficiently prep large muscle groups for a workout and tend to tired muscles after movement.
For targeted release, Alicia will instruct in the use of Yoga Tune-Up balls (gifted to you for continued use at home) for trigger point therapy and pain relief in common areas of fascia buildup.
Together, we'll build confidence in using the right tools the right way in and out of the gym!
