Learn how and why to use the props for support in your practice.
Not only is restorative yoga practice feel-good yoga, it also helps you to tap into your own body’s natural relaxation response. With longer holds supported by props, you notice the body becoming less tense, your breathing begins to smooth and your mind has a chance to slow down.
Restorative practice requires the ability to be physically still as well as mentally and emotionally steady and quiet. In our busy and overstimulated world, we are often encouraged to keep moving and doing – which makes our ability to stop more and more difficult.
This is a full body yoga practice where you'll move quietly and deliberately with gentle movement before settling into a relaxing sequence of supported poses to help soothe the nervous system and quieten the mind.
You will be under the watchful eye of certified Iyengar Yoga teacher Cathy Taylor, one of Brisbane's finest and most experienced yoga teachers.
