Handstands for Aerialists w/  Sebastian Rojas

One of the best ways for aerialists to cross train. Handstands are an important foundational skill for any aerial artist looking to level up their strength, mobility & control. We will focus on Shoulder & hip mobility & activation, and how to use those concepts while upside down. Building a solid foundation in the basic poses and working on progressions to get off the wall & into freestanding handstands. 

Prerequisites: No handstand experience needed, no current shoulder/wrist injuries.

Sebastian Rojas (@aregularpieceofasparagus). is one of the founders and co-owner of Celeste Aerial Arts. He started off as a martial artist in 2003 and began teaching after he obtained my black belt in 2008. Martial arts has given him an understanding of the body and awareness that easily translated to aerials. He found his passion for rope and straps and developed his own teaching style based on dynamic movement, body mechanics, sensations and exploration. Currently he travels all over the country offering workshops and performances.
