Tibetan Healing Concert Closing Ceremony: Blessings for Each Attendee 10:30-11:30 AM $33 standard
Lama Tashi Norbu has his roots in traditional Tibetan art, having studied in his youth in the monasteries. Having the privilege of studying abroad in Europe, he developed into a versatile contemporary artist. After decades of dedication, he is now a master of his craft, marrying the fundamentals of his background in Tibetan Buddhism with his strong influences from western art schools. He performs traditional Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies such as the Sand Mandala, and while he chants Tibetan Buddhist mantras, he paints live, in front of his supporters, accompanied by both Tibetan and Western instrumentals.
Lama Tashi Norbu has traveled the world, exhibiting his artwork while advocating for other Tibetan artists, inviting them from different parts of the world to join him.
Lama Tashi Norbu is the founder of the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art in Emmen Netherlands, the first and only registered Tibetan Art Museum outside of Tibet. He is also the founder of the Museum of Tibetan Art and Culture, a 501(c)3 charitable organization for social benefit, in the United States.
Despite worldly travel to promote these two museums, Lama Tashi Norbu retains leadership for his temple in Dharamsala in the north of India. Today, he continues to travel the world while advocating for Tibetan social balance and spiritual freedom.
