Rhythms & Roots Dance Fusion
Step into a world of rhythm and culture with Rhythms & Roots Dance Fusion, a dynamic movement class that combines the energetic beats of Latin rhythms, Afro grooves, Middle Eastern melodies, and the vibrant movements of Indian dance styles. This class offers more than just movement—it’s a full-body experience that celebrates the rich cultural traditions behind the music.
In each class, you’ll:
- Learn fundamental steps from Latin, Afro, Middle Eastern, and Indian dance traditions, broken down step-by-step for all levels.
- Explore the cultural background and meaning behind the movements and music, enriching your appreciation of their origins.
- Build the strength and flexibility necessary to execute the movements with precision and grace through targeted exercises.
- Practice mindful breathwork to enhance stamina, rhythm, and fluidity, creating a seamless connection between your body and the music.
Whether you're looking to expand your dance skills, boost your fitness, or simply experience the joy of moving to global beats, Rhythms & Roots Dance Fusion offers an empowering and energizing journey. No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to move!
This series is designed as a progressive journey, where each class builds on the last. If you have previous experience in dance or movement, you're welcome to drop in, please reach out to do so. However, if you're new to this style, we highly recommend starting from the beginning to get the full experience and foundation.
Instructions Spéciales :
Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the class; entry after the class begins is not permitted.
Remember to bring a mat, water bottle, and towel if necessary.
Please take your shoes off outside and bring them in to put in a cubby along with any other belongings. Jackets can also be hung in the bathroom behind the door.
Participants must be 16 years or older to attend.
Please be aware that parking is limited, so consider using alternative transportation. As the studio is located in a shared building, kindly be mindful when entering and exiting, especially since we are on the third floor and access is via exterior stairs.
