Mindfulness can help counter some of the pressures our children are
facing today. When children learn techniques for self health,
relaxation, awareness and inner fulfillment, they can navigate
life's challenges with a little more ease.
Mindfulness for children helps to improve attentiveness, awareness, social and emotional intelligence and provides a profound sense of calmness, inner peace and compassion. Mindfulness helps to calm down their central nervous systems which in turn allows for better concentration on school work and other activities.
In these 4 classes, we will introduce mindfulness to children in a fun, interactive and engaging way. Using a combination of age appropriate breathing techniques, gentle mindful movement, music, games and art/crafts, children will learn to self-regulate, to be still and to enjoy kindness and compassion practices. And they will certainly be most proud to share what they have learnt with the grown-ups in their lives!
