Description
This is a series of gatherings, in which we will study Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. This an opportunity to enbolden our understanding of the yoga tradition, and in turn, to better understand ourselves. Join all, or when you can.
The Yoga Sutra, widely regarded as the authoritative text on yoga, is a collection of aphorisms, outlining the eight limbs of yoga. These “threads” (as sutra translates from Sanskrit) of wisdom offer guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life.
These gatherings will occur Sundays at 10:45am. We will work from “Living the Sutras” by Kelly DiNardo and Amy Pearce-Hayden (available at Evoke), and we will reference a number of sources in our discussions to gather a broad understanding.
Please bring a notebook, and read assigned sections from “Living the Sutras” prior to meeting. Complete the practices in the book in the assigned readings. If you would like to read additional sources before hand, suggested resources can be found at the bottom of this discription.
