Exactly what's behind the asana practice? Maybe you know some
of the Sanskrit names of the poses, but do you know the philosophy?
If not, now's the perfect time to get started with it!
Join Marisol and Stephanie (and any of your other teachers who
care to join in!) as we broach the subject of the Eight Limbs of
Yoga.
The Eight Limbs, very simply put, are a method for showing us
how to have healthy attitudes toward ourselves and our external
environments, and ways for helping us achieve that integration so
that we can live our yoga on the mat and off the mat.
In each session, we'll introduce one of the limbs, provide a
brief explanation of what it means, and we'll open it up to
discussion, sharing, ideas, so that we can create and build our
understanding together.
Each session will be very informal and will start with 3-5 Sun
Salutations so we can prepare our bodies to sit for our talk. So,
wear comfy clothes you can move around in.
This series will be free, but we'll offer beverages and snacks
and only ask that you drop a couple of dollars into our donation
bin so that we can replenish.
