In this workshop, we will use the rope wall and pool noodles under the arms to learn how to open the upper chest and armpit areas. This class is meant for students who hold tension from sports, desk work, playing instruments, creating artwork, from general tension and from injuries. Learn how to alleviate pain with postures that release muscular and mental strain, increase circulation and decrease inflammation.
Kelly Sobanski is honored to be a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Intermediate Junior 3 level and to serve as President of the Iyengar Association of the Midwest. She has loved extreme sports throughout her life and has had numerous challenging injuries, which she has alleviated through Iyengar Yoga. By studying at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in India for six months, Kelly cultivated experiential knowledge directly from BKS Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar, Abhijata Sridhar (BKS Iyengar’s granddaughter), Lois Steinberg, and many other insightful teachers. Kelly inspires practitioners to cultivate wisdom, intuition, and luminance through endless learning that yoga unveils.
