Morning Mysore Club
July and August Join Lisa for mysore practice, returning to the traditional style of learning.
What does that mean?... Participants will be given a chart of poses to refer to and move through at their own pace, choosing their preferred style of either Hatha or Ashtanga. There will be two classes per week of supported self-practice; the last class of each month will be led. Class time will be a window between 7-9 am, allowing for flexibility of start and end time (led class will be a set time). Arrive and leave as your schedule permits, this is YOUR practice. You will be fully assisted and supported as you explore and develop your asanas. The two led classes will challenge and gauge your progress offering only verbal cues at a slightly quicker pace. Mysore classes offer individual attention without the cost of private sessions. At the same time you benefit from the beautiful group energy that is created as each person gives their best effort while maintaining a calm concentrated focus.
If the purpose of yoga is the stilling of the mind (Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1.2) then mysore practice can help you achieve this.
