What are chakras and nadis? What is a kosha? Is prana the same
thing as breathing? And why should you care? The subtle body
described in yoga philosophy is a way of understanding how the
body, mind and spirit work together to create wholeness. You can
tap into subtle energies in the body and learn to move them and use
them to connect clearly with yourself. The subtle energies can lead
you to a sense of well-being and peace -- even bliss.
In this workshop, you will learn terminology and concepts related
to the subtle energies in yoga philosophy. Teachings from various
yogic texts will be integrated, as well as those from the lineage
of Ma Jaya. You will also learn specific practices for connecting
with the subtle energies, so you can work with them in your
practice. Yoga practices will include asana series, pranayama and
mudras, mantras and guided meditation.
