Balance your fast-paced world with the principles and philosophy
of slowing down in yin yoga. Yin yoga involves holding poses for longer periods
of time (often 3 to 5 minutes) with the assistance of props
(blocks, bolsters, blankets) in order to gently work into
connective tissues of the body, increasing circulation, activating
the parasympathetic nervous system, and stimulating the flow of
energy (Qi) in the body. Join Jamie Otto in a three-week series at
a slow-moving, meditative pace that can lead to clarity of the mind
while the extended holds can result in increased joint mobility and
range of motion.
