Join Lauren for this four-part series! Whether you’re a beginner getting your first introduction to alignment in postures, or a seasoned practitioner needing a reminder, there’s something for every level of experience in these sessions. We’ll focus on the 5 Pillars of Baptiste Power Vinyasa. We’ll work True North Alignment into each posture covered, learn about modifications to each, and some of the benefits of each pose. While these sessions are designed to operate as a series, you can also attend one session or another by itself. A handout for all material covered in each individual session will be provided for you to follow along. This is a wonderful way to deepen your knowledge and engage further in your practice!
During this session, we’ll
continue to build on the previous two sessions, taking a closer
look at the abdominal and pelvic locks in the body (bandhas). We’ll
perform a quick review of True North Alignment and use this, with
our bandha work, to integrate our knowledge and experience in the
postures of backbends and core stability.
Poses covered: Triangle, Side-facing-wide-leg Forward Fold; Pyramid, Twisting Triangle(revolved pyramid), Locust, Floor Bow, Camel, Wheel, Happy Baby, Yogi Bicycles, and Boat Pose
What to bring: yoga mat, clothes to move in – we will not engage in a full practice, water, pen and small notebook.
