Workshop will focus on
basic to challenging arm balance poses: Supported side planks to
unsupported side crows & more. After a brief warm-up, we're
going to start exploring the arm balance.
We're going to lift up, go sideways, invert, stabilize laterally,
and use a wall when appropriate. So be ready to challenge yourself,
but not to be intimidated. Everyone can do this on their own
personal level.
Contrary to popular belief, balancing your arms doesn't mean having
strong arms and throwing all your weight on them, but rather trying
to move your weight, working other muscle groups (like your core)
and counterbalancing so that your arms bear as little weight as
possible. Some people call it the art of weightlessness. This is
going to be an open forum for trying new things, evaluating old
ones, and improving arm balancing poses that remain a challenge for
you.
Everyone is welcome as they can approach this at their own pace and
comfort.
