Join Maggie Mae Anderson for a Self-Compassion themed meditation class on Friday, March 13th. Maggie Mae is currently a student of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach in their Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification program. This experience inspires her to share their and Kristen Neff’s teachings on self-compassion with you. The impacts of being kind, encouraging and forgiving to ourselves have recently become topics of much scientific research. These investigations indicate that self-compassion is beneficial mentally, emotionally, and physically. This class will focus on the practice of self-compassion through journaling exercises and guided meditations. Give yourself some time at the end of your work week to learn to be more gentle with, and accepting of yourself. Self-compassion is the doorway to owning your own strengths, befriending your weaknesses and learning how to be nurturing towards yourself.
