According to Harvard Health Publishing, “Good connections and social support can improve health and increase longevity.” The most authentic, healthy relationships are best created and nurtured between self-aware individuals who are able to grow their awareness together; there has to exist a willingness to explore a deeper connection to oneself and how it affects our relationships. In that vein, we'll first explore our relationship to self and then how we can command our reactions to others when we're triggered and shift from a culture of shame and blame and anxiety to a culture of hope and love and support.
Uncertainty in the future and unanswered questions in our world don’t have to equal fear and anxiety, which can lead to poor physical health, opening ourselves up to the very thing we might fear the most. Our bodies and their intricate systems are so intimately connected to the mind and the spirit. Every choice we make is so much bigger than just the one moment in which we are choosing. The things we put in our bodies and on them, the things we choose to do with our bodies - it has such an effect on what our body gives back to us. Shine will be hosting several guests to share ideas and information about how to boost your immune system through natural wellness - for the body and the mind - centered around the concepts of reduced stress, improved sleep, proper nutrition, healthy movement and exercise, living in community and with support.
