John Fawcus has been coaching for over 20 years. He has a degree in Human Kinetics and a Diploma in Physical Education. In addition, he is a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and Online Trainer. John is not only educated but is an athlete as well. He has competed in running, martial arts, and most recently natural bodybuilding. He “walks the walk.”
John has participated in a variety of martial arts over the years. Some of those being: filipino martial arts, boxing, wing chun kung fu and taekwondo in which he is a 3rd degree black belt and certified instructor. John formerly taught taekwondo for the North Vancouver Recreation Commission for over five years to those as young as three years of age. In addition, John has experience teaching martial arts in several schools.
When it comes to teaching others, John’s emphasis on performing all techniques with the best form possible cannot be overstated. While John is very adamant about trying your best he is definitely not a drill-sergeant type of coach and has a great sense of humour.
