People of all experience levels welcome!! This group of classes is intended to help beginners build a solid foundation for a lifetime of practice & personal growth while allowing more experienced Yogis to get realigned, rebalanced and refocused on the many benefits of a more mindful & activated practice, both on and off the mat! All four classes will thread together, giving each student an opportunity to experience the many styles of classes offered at Simply!

Feb. 7th - Week 1 - YOGA, Defined

Vinyasa & Foundations of Flow - Sun Salutations, Resting Postures, Warrior Poses, The Importance of Pranayama: Ujjayi & Cleansing breaths, Finding your Foundation - Rooting to Rise.

Feb. 14th - Week 2 - BALANCE, on & off the mat

Drishti defined. Planes of Movement & Finding one's Fulcrum. Incorporating breath, focal points & body engagement to balance. Taking flight from Warrior positions, lifting from grounded postures. Dancer, Eagle, Warrior 3 vs. Airplane, Tree, Stork, Big Toe, Big Knee, etc. to be explored!

Feb. 21st - Week 3 - STHIRA SUKHA - Effort and Ease

An exploration of flexibility & strength building in Yoga. Linking muscle engagement to lengthening and the benefits pressure & counter pressure in different poses. Finding & firing your core. Gentle backbends explored, including Bridge, Sphynx & more. Counterpostures defined & longer holds explained. Mini deep stretch practice with Happy Baby, Malasana, Half Pigeon, etc.

Feb. 28th - Week 4 - UNION - Bringing it all together.

A full hour flow exploring all the concepts from the first three weeks, plus a deeper dive into Yoga as whole. The Eight Limbs, Yamas & Niyamas, Bhavanas Defined, debunking stereotypes while acknowledging the many ways Yoga can be practiced and how it can change your life.

We will be incorporating mini meditations, grounding, suggested modifications, props & breathwork into every class... creating a welcoming environment that reflects the close-knit community of Simply. We hope those that attend our classes will want to explore all the types of classes we offer, and make close bonds with those that attend!!
