Description
During this session you will be introduced to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali - a compilation of the theories and practices of yoga created by the Sage Patanjali. You will learn about the Sutras, where they came from and how to appraoch reading and learing from them. Other texts of Yoga including the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads may also be discussed.
This class is part of the Tula Institute of Yoga 20 hour Yoga Philosophy module. Sessions may be audited individually, or you can sign up for the entire module. The module is 10 sessions spread out over 10 months. If you register for the module you can take any of the sessions during the current module, or future module, and you will be able to repeat any of the sessions in the future for review or clarity.
Special Instructions
Students wishing to complete the Tula Institute 200 hour yoga teacher training will need to complete all 10 sessions of this modules, as well as the online 20 hour Yoga anatomy & movement modules, and the inperson 160 hour training module. To be admitted to the 160 hour in person module you must apply and be admitted to the program.
