THIS INTENSIVE IS FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 3- Entering Freshman College as of September 2021
Get ready for the 2021-2022 year by making the summer count!
After last year's incredible success we are excited to offer this camp again!! We were able to follow all CDC guidelines, make adjustments and still offer an incomparable week! Check out our social media for testimonials and clips from last year!
We start with passion, hard work and the desire to improve. Many camps are an opportunity to discover the arts. This intensive is for young performers who have already discovered their love for performing and want to take it to the next level.
The second step to move you to the next level is with a placement screening. All applicants are required to send in a placement self taped VIDEO. If you do not have access or are unable to tape yourself please email us and we will make alternative arrangements. firstname.lastname@example.org
This screening is to help identify where you are developmentally and for us to select audition pieces for you BEFORE you arrive! Students are grouped based on age and ability.
The week will help young performers grow in the disciplines of singing, acting, and dancing. (You may purchase single discipline sessions based on availability)
We will prepare students for dance calls (even for movers if dancing is not your strong suit), analyze and build your vocal book, and cover acting essentials: how the industry works (local vs national), analyze and educate on headshots/resumes/demos, monologues (classical and contemporary), master cold-reads and scene work, and explore the opportunity and importance of being a versatile actor.
We bring industry experts to Louisville so you learn from the pros!! Last year included Douglas Lyons, Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard!!
The week culimates in a performance opportunity to be determined based on current CDC Guidelines. We will publish the perofrmance so it will be a great addition to your resume!
Once you register for the intensive we will confirm with an email with the requirements for the screening, camp information and performance information.
Grab our Early Bird price and save 100.00 for this incerdible week! Sign up for all 3 and save 500!

PLACEMENT SCREENING INFORMATION:
The placement screening consists of the follwoing:
Please turn your phone to landscape or horizontal to film. Make sure the background is free of clutter-- a plain wall works great. Shoot the song and monologue from the shoulders up-- do not zoom in. Make sure you have lots of light so we can see the color of your eyes!! Make sure the area is quiet.
1. A 1 min- 1:30 contemporary monologue from a play, or a clipping from a young adult novel. Look for 1 Act plays or 10 minute plays. Make sure your piece is age appropriate. Show us your range!
2. 16 bars of an upbeat tempo contmeporary musical or pop song. A single instrument karaoke track works well or a cappella.
3. We want to see you move-- 30 seconds - 1:00 of dancing- freestyle to an upbeat tempo song. Please include a grape vine step, a jazz square, a turn on left and a turn on rt. If you are a dancer-- show us your strengths and what you can do. We do not need a choreographed piece-- we want to see how you move naturally. If you are a mover vs a dancer-- show us how you move to the music.
4. A personality clip that includes 1 -2 minutes of you telling us who you are, any relevant experience, what goals you have for training (auditions, schools), and what areas do you need help with the most. The more specific the better!
You will upload 5 separate clips to this link. PLEASE LABEL YOUR FILES: First Name_Last Name_ Date of Camp_ Type of audition
