This workshop will review the basics of human structure with physical anatomy and biomechanics. Additionally, the yogic models of the subtle body (maya model and the chakra model) will be discussed. Skill practice will include building knowledge of the physical and subtle body as well as how these are affected through yoga movement. 

This workshop will include a combination of lecture and active practice. Additional resources will be provided to participants. This class will be led by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Kim has her doctorate in Health Education and has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of specialty populations.
