Pain Care Yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain is a 8 week program. Evidence shows that programs of this kind can significantly reduce CLBP.
Yoga for Pain Care utilizes a biopsychosocial approach to pain using:
- mindfulness mediation techniques
- healthy breathing practices
- peer support
- pain education
- technology for consistency and accountability
Each 8 week series is limited to a cohort of 6. A combination of private sessions with Mandy, group sessions with your cohort and self guided homework provide a comprehensive program to empower you to move better. Live better.
I have chronic/persistent pain in my lower back and numbness in my left leg. Since starting the class with Mandy, the improvement is remarkable. I was unable to stand, walk, and move consistently. I have learned to view the spine and brain as a system. Mandy teaches simple movements in class that can be used safely and easily in everyday life – it has changed the way I relate to and experience pain. The movements are introduced gradually throughout the course. I've learned how the brain's relationship with pain can be modified via neuroplasticity. It’s liberating!
