Description
What is restorative yoga and what are the benefits of making this a part of your regular practice?
This very supported style of yoga encourages the relaxation response and soothes the nervous system. This allows the whole body to function better, and move from “fight or flight” to “rest & digest” for increased well-being. With continued practice, we can achieve physical, mental & emotional relaxation on and off the mat.
In this workshop we will share the benefits of restorative yoga and why it is necessary in your personal yoga practice. We will explore which poses promote gentle opening, relaxation and easy breathing. You will also experience an intermediate restorative sequence, including modifications or substitutions for beginners.
