Everyone who has ever done yoga had a first class at one time, and this series is the perfect place to take that first step. At Maha, we prioritize inner sensations over outer performance, with no expectations or demands.
In this series, we will use the breath, meditation techniques and yoga postures as tools to explore ourselves, our body, and the way we move in space. Alan will provide detailed, informative instruction on the same foundational poses that you’ll find in our weekly basics classes.You will leave with a foundational understanding of postures, anatomy and kinesthetics so you can move fluently; whether in a class or in the world. You will be encouraged to move at your own pace, and modify poses to suit your body’s needs.
Registration is inclusive for all four classes in the series. Choose your series:
Thursdays 6-7pm August 5, 12, 19, and 26
Thursdays 6-7pm September 9, 16, 23, 30
Series will be offered in a hybrid format, both in person and virtually. You may choose to practice in the studio or to join us from home.
