Two out of Three people in the US will suffer from neck pain in their lifetime. For many, neck pain is a constant, chronic issue that slowly and subtly reduces quality of life. It's a difficult problem that resists a simple fix. A little stretching or adjusting may bring a temporary sense of relief but the pain often returns. The process of healing neck pain will therefore need to be gradual, it will require learned knowledge and also inate wisdom. It will demand a persistent effort to be mindful. This afternoon workshop will intruduce tactics for temporarilly reducing pain through movement but also some tools for conquering the long term patterns that cause the pain. Expect some discussion of anatomy, self refection, postures, breathing techniques and meditation. This workshop is suitable for total novices and gurus alike who are curious and open to change.
