The Spring equinox is traditionally a time to bring about balance. While day and night are in perfect harmony at the Earth's quarter turn, we stand on the cusp of Spring. It's a time to look towards all the life and colour about to burst out of the Earth and to reflect on what we need to do to move on. Are there stagnant emotions that need to be shifted? unhelpful patterns that got us through Winter but will only hold us back if we take them with us into the warmer months?
This restorative afternoon will be a unique blend of yoga and hypnotherapy. We will bring about homeostasis through relaxing, long-held postures (asana), breath work (pranayama), meditation (dhyana) and relaxation (zzzz). During the final hour of the workshop, Erica Tijssen will guide us through hypnosis for clearing - clearing out old thought patterns, unhelpful perspectives and habits that do not serve us.
What is hypnotherapy and what can I expect in the session? Here are some words from Erica to inform you:
In Hypnosis, the body and mind assumes “a state of sleep”. Importantly though, you don’t actually sleep, like you do in bed. It is more like a combination of relaxation and focus. Your body goes into deep rest, whilst your brain actually becomes very alert. We all experience this natural state on a daily basis, for example just before we fall asleep, or getting absorbed in a film.
I will then take you into a wonderful, relaxing hypnotic trance. During the session I will guide you with my words. You will hear everything I say and you will experience everything and you will remember everything.
Together we are going to positively “re-program” the unconscious part to improve and balance your daily energy levels you are currently experiencing, so that you get the desired result.
Remember, you are in charge of this!. You will leave energised, balanced, fully awake and in completely in tune with your own energy level. Not just on the day itself, but the result will be long lasting.
