Join Jackie in a powerful practice that explores the balance between deep stillness and dynamic movement in yoga.
We will begin in the Yin style with long holds that stimulate energy flow deep in the joints and connective tissues. Yin yoga is a gentle yet intense approach that can help you develop greater mobility and can allow energetic blockages to open up. The slower more meditative pace creates the opportunity to stay mindfully present in the moment through breath and body awareness.
Next we will move into a more dynamic flow of Vinyasa style yoga that strengthens and invigorates the body. This part of the workshop will include more active movement that builds internal heat and stimulates more energy flow while developing balance and strength. We will practice staying centered through movement connected to breath.
We will also use Pranayama to explore both the Yin and Yang elements of a well rounded yoga practice.
