This session is designed for those new to open water or those looking to boost their confidence. This short session covers the fundamentals that will leave you feeling more relaxed and confident in the water. Elements included are:
- Breathing for relaxing
- Dynamic stretching
- Entering the water slowly and safely
- Breathing reminder
- Floating on your back
- Submerging your head
- Breathing out under the water
- Short swims
The session lasts around 45 minutes and is coached by a qualified open water instructor. The session has fully safety cover with safety spotters, lifeguard and rescue kayak.
This course takes place at Compton Verney. The postcode is: CV35 9HZ. Please park in the visitor centre car park and follow the Do3 open water swimming signs through the side gate by the visitor centre and up the path towards the late. Please come to the check in desk by the Do3 van.
Wetsuits aren't mandatory and will be covered at the training. You will be going in the water, which may feel cold.
