LESSON 1 (June 30) introduces the basic warm-up. When I meet with new students who haven’t studied voice before, this is what we do in the first lesson. If you do this warm-up on a daily/regular basis you will notice a difference in your singing. It will make all future voice work easier.

 

LESSON 2 (July 7) focuses on breath support - what it is and how to use it. There are exercises that will strengthen your ability to support your sound. This is usually the second topic I cover with students after teaching them how to warm-up.

 

Basic Singing Technique meets on Thursdays June 30 and July 7 from 8:15-9:15pm at Girl Guitar and is taught by Larisa Montanaro.
