Myofascial release (MFR) enhances the body’s natural healing capabilities through gentle, specialized stretching of the connective tissue, or fascia, that surrounds muscles and organs, by utilizing massage balls, blocks, small plates, and rollers. Using myofascial release techniques, you can free up the body’s fascia and feel rejuvenated. In our workshop, we'll be presenting the study of fascia, anatomy, types of fascia as well as dysfunctions, how we can integrate it with yoga, and types of release therapy during a presentation at the beginning. Then, we'll spend most of the remaining time at the workshop (about 2 hours) instructing the students how to practice MFR on their entire body in a safe and practical manner.
