While yes, dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles is common, but.. YOU DO NOT JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT! With this workshop, learn what is normal and what is not in terms of bladder and bowel function, core stability, and sexuality.
This workshop will address pelvic floor health for women. With a special focus on pregnancy and postpartum related issues, the information is relevant to all women, whether they plan on children or not.
Learn about the anatomy and important roles that the pelvic floor muscles play and how to best take care of these very important muscles. What does pelvic floor muscle dysfunction look like?
More about the instructor: Allison’s interest in Women’s Health Physical Therapy began prior to attending PT school. Following her graduation from Mayo School of Health Sciences in 2010 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Allison pursued continuing education focusing on the rehabilitation of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction; she has completed the entire Pelvic Floor series through the well-known Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute.
Allison enjoys being part of a close multidisciplinary team that considers the well-being of the whole patient, and how best to achieve the patient’s goals. She particularly enjoys working with patients with pregnancy and post-partum related dysfunction, urinary dysfunction, and vaginismus.
When she is not at work, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband and three young sons, enjoying nearby family, and traveling abroad.
