Have you been wanting to move your diet and food habits towards
locally sourced, cleaner options but are unable to sustain it or
even get started? Are you interested in cooking more for yourself
and family and friends, and integrating more vegetables or going
vegetarian? This workshop is designed to get you introduced to
local farmers, make you comfortable buying seasonal, fresh produce,
and introduce you to cooking methods that will allow you to quickly
prepare tasty meals from pretty much anything. The focus will be on
simple, vegetable based meals that can easily be expanded with
meat. We will go to the Saturday Farmer's Market, rain or shine,
and bring back ingredients to prepare a fresh tasty meal for you to
sample. We're doing it early so that you can go home and prepare a
lunch without having to rush to feed your hungry body :)
