Beautiful and bright sleeping beauty Turquoise Silver ring... I'm not certain which one as I inherited this piece!

“Sterling MB” stamped.

Condition is “Pre-owned” because this is a vintage piece - no damage, beautiful!

Size 7 3/4.

Unique tribal and stud detailing mirrored tribal bird on the ring and polished finish.

Feels substantial in weight and you can tell this is super quality. Very comfortable on the finger as the band is a good size.

I think I am pricing it too low but I need to sell and pricing to sell!!

Stone:  This ring centers a beautiful rare AAA Grade Sleeping Beauty Turquoise cabochon. 

Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes in a pure sky blue or robin's egg blue color and is relatively stable and suitable for jewelry making. 

The Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Mine, located in Globe, Arizona, is one of the most famous turquoise mines and produces some of the most desirable turquoise in the world due to the purity of its color. The mine closed for a second time (first time in the early 1960s) in August 2012, which has skyrocketed the price of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise.

The mine's name comes from the mountain the mine is located in, which from far away looks like a sleeping woman lying on her back with her arms crossed.

Artist:  Marita Benally is from the Navajo Indian Tribe. She was born and raised in Steamboat, AZ. Marita started her craftsmanship in the late 1990's, in which she credits her husband, Daniel Benally for teaching her everything that she knows about silver work and design. She enjoys and loves creating detailed and articulate designs. She currently works out of Gallup, New Mexico.
