I originally wrote Become the Architect of Your Body, Mind, as Soul, as a supplement for the yoga classes I teach.
Because what I’ve discovered from teaching yoga for almost 20 years is that when the class ends, so does the experience — that unique combination of the yoga postures, the words of instruction, the stories I share during the class, even the specific combination of people together creating a group energy, will never be recreated the same way again.
I recognized the difficulty for many people to retain that connection to body, mind, and soul after the class was over and the magic of being in the present moment had moved on.
So I began to ask myself: what could I offer that would stay with my students outside of a class setting and help them find inner peace, clarity, and connection in the moments they feel furthest away from that? And could I offer this in a format that was more tangible and less intimidating than a yoga class?
And so this book was born: A simple collection of lessons, ideas, and stories, all based in the eastern healing arts, but personally “tested” by me on my own modern life of family, work, relationships, and all the day-to-day aspects of being alive that bring us equally great joy and great despair.
Since its initial US publication in 2017, Become the Architect of Your Body, Mind, and Soul, has been been featured item in the Yogi Surprise subscription box, and in 2021 was recognized by the greek publishing company Athenian Science Publishing and translated and published in Athens, Greece.
